Refunded & Returns Policy

Thank you for choosing Aussie Magic Studio! We care about your satisfaction and follow both our store policies and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This page outlines how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for items and services purchased from us.

Change-of-Mind Returns (Retail Goods Only)

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days from the date of delivery/collection.

Eligible items must:

  • Be unused and in original condition

  • Include all accessories, tags and packaging

  • Include proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Change-of-mind returns do not apply to custom-made items, cut-to-size materials, opened consumables, digital files, or services already performed.

Return shipping:

  • Customer is responsible for return postage

  • Trackable shipping is recommended for your protection

  • We are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments

Restocking Fee
A 20% restocking fee applies to approved change-of-mind returns to cover inspection and processing.

How to request a return
Email info@aussiemagicstudio.com.au within 14 days including:

  • Order number

  • Return reason

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

Once approved, we will provide return instructions and required labels (if applicable).

Items sent back without prior authorisation (RMA) may be refused.

Custom / Made-to-Order / Fabrication Jobs

Customised items and services are non-returnable for change-of-mind once production has commenced.

Under the ACL, if a product or service does not meet consumer guarantees, we will provide a remedy, which may include:

  • Repair / rework

  • Replacement part(s)

  • Partial or full refund where appropriate

Please note:

  • Normal process tolerances, material characteristics, and minor cosmetic marks are not considered faults

  • If customer-supplied files or materials cause issues, we are not liable

Faulty custom work must be reported within 7 days with supporting photos/videos.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If something arrives damaged or not as ordered:

  • Notify us within 48 hours

  • Include photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label

We will arrange:

  • Repair or replacement, or

  • Refund (where appropriate)

We will cover return shipping costs if the issue is our responsibility.

Exchanges

For faster turnaround, return the item first (if eligible) and place a new order.
For faulty goods, we will arrange a replacement as required under the ACL.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days

  • Bank/card processing times may vary

If you have not received a refund 15 business days after our approval notification, please contact us.

Non-Returnable Items

(Unless faulty under ACL)

  • Custom or personalised items

  • Fabrication or services already performed

  • Cut-to-size or specially ordered materials

  • Gift cards, sale/clearance items

  • Digital downloads

  • Opened consumables / hygiene-related items

Responsibilities During Return Shipping

  • Items must be securely packed

  • Damage from poor packaging may reduce refund eligibility

  • Missing components or excessive wear may also affect refund amounts

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

This policy does not limit your statutory rights.
If products/services fail to meet consumer guarantees, you are entitled to a reasonable remedy based on the severity of the issue.
