What's great about our FDM 3D printing service?
Large Build Volume
Print objects up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm
Versatile Materials
Material available in a wide range of colours.
Precision & Speed
Layer resolution from 0.2mm (fine detail) to 0.4 mm (fast prototyping). Printers output 20–30 g PLA per hour, included in the hourly rate.
Strong
PLA is strong, stiff, and lightweight. Print walls over 2 mm can hardly be broken by hand.
Density Control
We print with 20–30% infill, which gives near full strength; higher infill only adds weight and cost.

How it works?
Step 1: Submit Your File
Upload your 3D model in STL, OBJ, or 3MF format. Please ensure the file is watertight and error-free for best results.
Step 2: Material
We print exclusively with PLA filament — durable, lightweight, and ideal for prototypes, models, and creative objects.
You can choose up to four colors for your design project.
Step 3: Get a Quote & Pricing
Once we receive your file, we’ll review it and send you a clear quote. Our pricing is transparent:
Setup Fee: $10 for one color, for example, if you are using four colors, we will charge $40
Printing Fee: $10 per hour (materials included)
Delivery Fee: Same as our laser cutting service (flat $12 for USYD, UTS, UNSW; Sydney metro and interstate available)
No hidden charges — you’ll always know the total cost before we start printing.
Step 4: Printing
Your design is produced using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology, ensuring strong, reliable results with fast turnaround.
Step 5: Post-Processing
We provide basic finishing only — removal of supports and light surface cleanup.
Step 6: Pickup or Delivery
Choose free studio pickup or convenient delivery across Sydney and Australia.
FAQs
-
No minimum print volume. You can print a single part if needed. However, pricing is time-based ($10 setup for one color + $10/hour printing, materials included), so even small jobs may reach $20–30.
-
We don’t provide same-day or express FDM 3D printing. Unlike laser cutting, 3D printing is slower and may fail, so we work on a queue system. Please contact us first to confirm if a printing slot is available.
-
Turnaround time depends on your model’s complexity:
Simple models: often within 1 day
Medium detail: 1–2 days
Large or complex prints: 3+ days
We’ll confirm your 3D print turnaround time after reviewing your file.
-
Yes. We always review files before printing:
Minor issues (e.g., scaling, orientation): we can fix them.
Major geometry errors: we’ll notify you to adjust.
We currently do not provide full 3D modeling services.
-
Yes. We can rescale models, but you must provide at least one accurate real-world measurement (e.g., base length = 100 mm). This ensures your FDM print is correctly scaled.
-
Not at the moment. We only work with digital files supplied in STL, OBJ, or 3MF formats.
-
Supports are temporary printed scaffolds that hold overhanging parts during FDM printing. After the job finishes, we remove these supports and do light surface cleanup.
-
PLA is lightweight yet durable. With wall thickness over 2 mm, parts are very stiff and hard to break by hand. This makes it excellent for architecture models, prototypes, and display parts.
-
FDM 3D printing (our service): Larger models, architectural parts, prototypes, and functional designs with moderate detail.
Resin printing: Small, intricate designs such as miniatures, fine jewelry, or parts with very delicate overhangs.
-
For architectural models, we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm. Thinner walls are fragile and may not print successfully with PLA.
